Mercedes is launching a global EV charging network with 10,000 fast chargers coming to Europe, North America China and other main markets by 2030.
The first of 400 hubs with more than 2,500 electric chargers are due to arrive in North America this year with the roll-out in the US to be completed by 2027.
It will then be extended into Europe and China, taking the total number of Mercedes charging stations to 10,000 by 2030.
Each hub will have between four and 30 fast chargers and the charging stations will be able to accommodate 350kW with the potential to increase.
Although the network will be available to all brands, Mercedes customers will be able to pre-book a charging station from their car, and use the MercedesMe service to pay for their charge and reserve a slot at a charging station.
Also, the manufacturer’s current partnership with charging provider Ionity will continue.
