NG Bailey trials electric vans from Zenith

NG Bailey is trialling a fleet of 10 fully electric Ford vans, including the E-Transit Courier, E-Transit Custom, and E-Transit models, supplied by fleet management specialist Zenith.

They are working in the engineering and infrastructure service provider’s fleet of more than 600 vehicles, providing first-hand experience of how electric vans perform across different use cases, and supporting wider sustainability ambitions.

Each vehicle has received an internal fit-out from The Van Hub, tailored to the different roles each van is expected to perform.

Zenith is also continuing to work with NG Bailey to understand how its vans are used across the business, developing a vehicle specification catalogue around operational needs.

Ryan Long, head of LCV at Zenith, said, “Electrification isn’t simply about putting electric vans on a fleet.

“It’s about understanding where they can work, building driver confidence, and making sure the right vehicles are matched to the right jobs.

“This project is a great example of how we’re keeping our customers moving sustainably, while helping NG Bailey take another important step on its electrification journey.”

Lee Jackson, group fleet manager at NG Bailey, said, “By working closely with our strategic partners, we are taking practical steps to improve the sustainability of our fleet and reduce its environmental impact.

“This supports our wider responsibility and impact strategy, helping us reduce emissions, improve the sustainability of our operations and contribute to our long-term environmental ambitions.

“Through collaboration and informed decision-making, we can continue to deliver the reliable, high-quality service our customers expect while transitioning our fleet in a responsible and sustainable way.”
