Osprey opens EV charging hub in Waltham Abbey

Osprey Charging has opened a hub of eight new super-fast EV charge points at the Highbridge Retail Park in Essex.

The chargers typically add 100 miles of range in 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the model of the vehicle and its battery level.

Accepting contactless payment via card or Apple/Google Pay, with no need to download an app, the 300kW rapid charge points are also compatible with every EV on the market.

Highbridge Retail Park was chosen for its location just off the M25 between Essex and London, and for its amenities including a Costa Coffee and McDonald’s.

The charge points are designed to be easy to use and park at, with a 24/7 free helpline assisting customers.

For business or fleet drivers, receipts can be obtained via the Osprey App and the chargers accept all major third-party payment methods including fleet cards.

Osprey’s Iris platform is used to not only operate our nationwide network of public chargepoints, but also integrate directly with roaming partners and fleets to provide instant access and billing solutions.

In addition, the network has been named a Zap-Map ‘Driver Recommended Network’ for the fifth consecutive year.

Ian Johnston, CEO of Osprey Charging said, “An EV charging boom is underway in Great Britain. We deliver reliable and rapid public charging for all drivers, from Land’s End to John O’Groats.

“Osprey now has over 1,300 charging bays available in convenient locations across the UK, carefully designed to maximise space and ease of use.

“This new charging hub in Waltham Abbey is a vital part of the re-charging network for the decarbonisation of transport in the UK.”
