Paua boosts fleet home charging with Powerverse

UK EV charging payment platform for businesses Paua, and smart energy management company Powerverse, have formed a partnership which aims to make home charging simpler for fleets.

For home charging, fleet managers often need to install suitable charge points at employees’ homes, collect reliable charging data and reimburse drivers without creating an administrative burden.

Under the agreement, Paua is to give its customers access to Powerverse’s home chargers and installation services, extending the range of home charging solutions available through Paua Reimburse.

Through Powerverse, Paua will support home charging reimbursement across a much broader range of charge points, including Cord, WaEV, Keba, Injet, Teltonika, Go-e, Sevadis, Garo, Stevie and EVTec.

Paua and Powerverse aim to help fleet operators manage the complete home charging journey, from selecting and installing suitable charge points through to capturing charging data and reimbursing employees accurately for electricity used to charge business vehicles.

Niall Riddell, CEO and co-founder of Paua, said, “Home charging should be one of the easiest parts of running an electric fleet.

“In reality, fleet managers can quickly find themselves dealing with charger selection, installations, different hardware platforms, electricity tariffs and reimbursement.

“Working with Powerverse gives us another important piece of that puzzle.

“We can offer fleets access to a much broader home charging ecosystem while connecting that charging data directly into the Paua platform.”

Richard Britton, chief executive at Powerverse, said, “By combining Powerverse’s end to end domestic charging and home energy platform with Paua’s fleet charging and reimbursement platform, we can remove much of the complexity that currently sits behind home EV charging.
