EV payment platform Paua has integrated Fleete’s new electric HGV charging hub at the Port of Tilbury into its network, giving hauliers access to the key logistics gateway serving London.

The site, which offers 16 dedicated HGV bays and ultra-rapid charging up to 360kW, has been developed specifically around the operational needs of commercial vehicles, including larger bays, high-power charging and freight-focused access.

Truck and van drivers using Paua can now access the hub 24/7 through a single account, app and charge card.

The move strengthens Paua’s position as the UK’s largest aggregated truck charging network, giving fleets broader coverage across public hubs, multi-use sites, and shared depots.

Hams Hall Distribution Park and Fleete’s nine other development locations will also become available to Paua customers once these sites become operational.

As more electric trucks enter operation over the coming years, industry collaboration between charging operators, software platforms and fleets is expected to play a critical role in accelerating adoption.

Niall Riddell, CEO and Co-founder of Paua, said, “Truck charging needs to work in the real world. That means the right locations, enough space, and chargers that deliver when drivers need them. Tilbury is a strong step forward, and by adding it to Paua, we’re making it usable for fleets today.”

Chris Morrison, CEO of Fleete, said, “Partnering with Paua is a critical part of our strategy to open up our growing national charging hub network to the largest possible user base.

“Fleete is positioning itself as the UK’s leading partner for destination and origin shared charging hubs that will give fleet operators the confidence they need to expand the routes on which they can use their electric trucks.”
