Push Power has completed a bespoke solar PV installation at The Fennes in North Essex for The Tabor Group, a premium operator of hospitality venues for weddings, functions and corporate events in the UK.

Push Power’s installation comprises a 118.7kW solar ground mount at The Fennes in Bocking, Essex – an energy capacity equivalent to the powering of 25-30 homes, a saving of 25 tonnes of CO₂, removing 15 cars from the road or planting 1000 trees.

Push Power Managing Director Andy Khan commented, “Every Push Power project is custom designed to meet the unique needs, budgets and goals of the end user. Working closely with The Tabor Group, our team delivered a solar system which will power-up the company’s energy efficiency goals, minimise their carbon footprint and significantly reduce their overall energy costs.”

The Tabor Group Chairman Ned Tabor said, “The UK hospitality and weddings sector remains a challenging environment to operate in, particularly as energy costs — especially electricity — continue to rise, placing increasing pressure on operating costs. In recent years, we have invested in smart technologies and staff education to help reduce electrical consumption. While these initiatives delivered modest improvements, it became clear that a larger step-change was needed.

“Moving to solar power became the natural solution. However, the key questions were: who do you trust, who has the experience, and who can clearly quantify the benefits and costs in a simple and easy-to-understand way?

“Push Power and their team proved to be the obvious choice. Our experience of working together over the past 12 months has been excellent. The team demonstrated real passion and experience at every stage. They were always available, responsive, and committed to delivering results. The planning, installation, and commissioning process was seamless and completed in just three weeks.

“We are now beginning to realise the true benefits — achieving meaningful cost savings while also playing our part in reducing carbon emissions and supporting decarbonisation.”
