Raw Charging has opened a rapid EV charging hub with 32 bays at the Cardigan Fields leisure and entertainment complex in Leeds.

The new facility – part of a site that includes a cinema, bowling alley, gym, restaurants and eateries – has 14 AC fast chargers, six DC50 rapid chargers and 12 DC150 ultra-rapid chargers.

Each charger is accessible 24/7 so drivers can charge their vehicles at any time, whether visiting retail outlets, restaurants, leisure facilities or just passing through.

All the chargers are designed for ease of use with contactless payment.

The Cardigan Fields installation is part of a £24.5m investment by Raw Charging and Landsec to install EV charging bays at 25 premier retail and leisure destinations across the UK.

It also complements Raw’s 32-bay EV charging installation at Xscape Yorkshire, reinforcing its commitment to connecting places where people shop, dine, and enjoy leisure activities.

Raw Charging is offering all drivers free charging at the facility from 13 April to 19 April 2026 by signing up to Raw Rewards.

Neil Broadbank, Chief Commercial Officer at Raw Charging said, “This launch marks a significant milestone in our partnership with Landsec and our mission to connect amazing places across the UK.

“With 24/7 access and a mix of fast and ultra‑rapid chargers, drivers can recharge conveniently while enjoying everything Cardigan Fields has to offer.”

Mark Welsby, Centre Manager at Cardigan Fields, said, “As demand for electric vehicles continues to grow locally, providing convenient, reliable charging is essential.

“This investment enhances the visitor experience while supporting progress towards net zero and long‑term value for our community.”
