BP Pulse has upgraded its existing site in Goole, Yorkshire at Glews Services with the installation of four new ultra-fast 300kW EV chargers.
These chargers, situated in the car park between KFC and Starbucks, offer a convenient option for drivers who can now stop off and charge, whilst also making use of the onsite food options.
Glews Services is located directly on the M62, a crucial transport connector for Hull, Leeds and Manchester and connects with the A1M and M1 North & South.
The site is a key part of BP’s to wider commitment to expand its EV charging network along major UK road networks, targeting busy locations where people already stop, such as motorways, A-roads and urban centres.
BP Pulse subscribers can also save more than 20% on contactless rates across the UK when they download the company’s app, and new subscribers get the first month free.
Valerio Ferro, general manager, BP Pulse UK, said, “By adding ultra-fast chargers at existing service areas such as Glews Services, our goal is to make electric vehicle charging as accessible and convenient as possible, especially along key strategic roads across the UK.”
It follows the announcement from BP Pulse last month that it has formed a partnership with Moto to install high-powered electric truck chargers at three UK motorway service areas.
Installed at each site – Lymm, Toddington North, and Toddington South – will be six pull-through bays equipped with megawatt charging system chargers.
The first facility is planned to go live during 2026.
