Connected Kerb has bought Trojan Energy for an undisclosed amount after the EV charging solutions firm went into administration.

Geoff Jacobs and Alistair McAlinden from Interpath were appointed joint administrators to Trojan Energy Limited on 9 February 2026 and immediately completed a sale of the business and assets via a pre-pack process to Connected Kerb’s Urban EV Infrastructure subsidiary.

Connected Kerb, which has a particular focus on on-street charging solutions, will maintain the operation of Trojan’s 1,500 existing live charge points and integrate its flat & flush hub and home products into its own technology portfolio.

All 63 of Trojan Energy’s employees will transfer as part of the transaction.

Founded in 2016, Aberdeen-based Trojan Energy has designed and built EV charging solutions primarily for residents who park on street, providing access to fast charging at, or near the home.

Chris Pateman-Jones, chief executive of Connected Kerb, said, “This acquisition marks a pivotal moment in our mission to make reliable, accessible EV charging available to everyone, especially those without driveways.

“Trojan’s cutting-edge subsurface technology perfectly complements Connected Kerb’s long-life, smart charging infrastructure.

“Together, we’re building a future where clean transport is easy, equitable and built for all communities.”

Ian Mackenzie, CEO Trojan Energy, said, “This deal brings Trojan Energy’s pioneering Flat & Flush charge points inside one of the UK’s largest and fastest-growing EV charging networks, Connected Kerb.

“The acquisition allows existing and new customers to benefit from a larger combined network, and accelerates the benefits of the energy transition for EV drivers, their communities and the planet.”
