Inspiring Vet Care orders KGM electric pickup fleet

Inspiring Vet Care has placed an order for a batch of electric KGM Musso EV pickups that will be rolled out across its network of more than 900 practices.

The vehicles that will be operated by the veterinary healthcare group feature 80.6kWh batteries that deliver up to 240 miles of WLTP range, while full-time all-wheel drive, 207PS and 339Nm of torque provide assured performance both on and off road.

Each vehicle will undergo specialist conversion by Gearmate before entering service, providing modular and bespoke storage solutions, with the vehicles to be configured around Inspiring Vet Care’s specific operational requirements.

Vehicle-to-load technology will also allow compatible electrical equipment to be powered directly from the vehicle, adding further versatility for mobile and remote working.

Through its Positive Pawprint programme, Inspiring Vet Care is working towards net zero, with the transition to hybrid and electric fleet vehicles forming part of its approach to reducing emissions from its operations.

Lee Corrigan, head of fleet UK and Ireland at Inspiring Vet Care, said, “Our fleet operates across a wide range of environments, so it is essential that the vehicles we choose combine practicality, reliability and capability.

“The Musso EV gives us the versatility of a pickup with the benefits of an electric powertrain, while its all-wheel drive, towing capacity, practical load bed and comfortable cabin make it well suited to our operational requirements.

“This order also supports our wider ambition to progressively reduce the environmental impact of our fleet while ensuring every vehicle remains fit for purpose.”
